About
What is 1Festival?
1Festival builds interactive, shareable festival timetables for music festivals. Each timetable shows you when and where artists play across all stages, so you can plan your day and avoid clashes.
Headliners
Headliners are the three acts on each lineup with the most Last.fm listeners. This gives a data-driven view of what draws the biggest crowds, rather than relying on the festival's own marketing language.
Music
Each genre's share of the set minutes is calculated from MusicBrainz and Last.fm genre data. MusicBrainz community votes are the primary source (minimum 3 votes), with Last.fm top tags used as a fallback. This gives an honest breakdown of what type of music you can expect at each festival.
Human vs Agent View
Every page on 1Festival has a toggle in the bottom-right corner that switches between Human and Agent modes:
- Human view — clean, readable list with dates, locations, and headliners. Optimised for people planning which festivals to attend.
- Agent view — compact format with raw data (act counts, stage counts, extraction sources). Optimised for AI agents parsing festival information programmatically.
Data Sources
Festival timetables are sourced from official festival PDFs and websites. Where official sources are unavailable, we use secondary sources like setlist.fm and festival databases, always flagging the provenance. We never invent data.
